This piece marks the first time Lane worked with multiple characters within a single composition. Created during the holiday season, the subtle suggestion of a fourth figure emerging in the glow became a defining element and ultimately inspired the title of the work.
 
Lane later revisited this multi figure approach in One Spirit, drawn to the narrative possibilities that emerge when more than one presence shares the same space. She values the opportunity these compositions offer to quietly suggest a story, allowing viewers to interpret relationships, emotion, and meaning through their own lens.
